Spine technique

The Trisana-spinal-technique (TWT) is a form of therapy that was developed by the chiropractor Gerd Stier. The focus is on the gentle application of chiropractic and osteopathic principles. However, force techniques (acceleration techniques), which can be described as fast movements on the patient, are avoided. Corrections to the musculoskeletal system (such as misalignment of the sacrum or subluxation of the vertebrae) are carried out with gentle, but targeted impulses. Often these adjustments to the body are so soft that the patient does not realize that manipulation has taken place at all. After the treatment, patients often have sore muscles that go away after a few days.

This result occurs because the treated muscles have to get used to a new state. The muscles were used to the misalignments for a long time and adjusted to function in a misaligned manner.
